Services Wednesday For Anna Wurtz 92

Funeral services for Mrs Anna Wurtz 92 will be held at Polk First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ken Burke officiating. Interment in Arborville Cemetery with graveside rites by Eastern Star Rob Morris No 192 Stromsburg. Survivors include two daughters, three grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and several step relatives. The Wall Funeral Home is in charge.

During the week $286 was added to the Community Hall Fund. Anonymous sent $100, Legion Auxiliary gave $150, Floyd Miller contributed $25, and Minnie Wright Memorial added $11. Floyd Miller also placed $25 in the Summer Recreation Fund from football pool winnings.

Dedication Services Sunday For Sanctuary

The United Methodist Church announces the completion of a remodeled sanctuary. A consecration service will be held Sunday morning October 26, 1975 at 9 30 with a reception to follow. Rev Robert Hopkins will lead, with Glen Babcock Marvin Fredrickson and Ida Mae Coover participating.

Arborville youths plan UNICEF drive on October 26

Arborville Congregational Church young people meet at the church at 6 30 p m on October 26 and depart to collect for their annual UNICEF drive. They will reconvene at the Hall for a party afterward.

Polk Cubs Fall to Greeley Buffaloes 20-2

Polk Cubs traveled to Greeley and lost 20-2 as the Buffaloes produced most yards in the air. Polk managed 28 total yards with a safety scoring the Cubs only points while Vern Tallman recovered a blocked punt in the end zone and Brian Bedient gained 119 rushing yards. The Cubs remained optimistic about their offense and prep for Osceola next.

Two Babies Born in Aurora Hospital Two Stated

Mr and Mrs Ronald Shoup of Hordville welcomed son Shawn Vern born October 10 at Aurora hospital weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces. Grandparents are Mr and Mrs Wilber LeSuer and Mr and Mrs Don Shoup. Syd Widga of Marquette and Mrs Nadine Dunbar of Lincoln are listed as additional grandparents. A second child, Christopher Carl, 6 pounds 8 ounces, born October 20 at Aurora hospital to Mr and Mrs Syd Widga with paternal grandparents Donavin Widga of Polk and Nadine Dunbar of Lincoln. Enoch Peterson has returned home from Osceola hospital.
