Family Gathering Honors Arthur Main Couple in Walter Binford Home

A family gathering at the Walter Binford residence on October 11 honored nephew and wife Mr and Mrs Arthur Main of Hawaii. Attendees included Beulah Gustafson of Aurora Irvin Anderson and David Sundberg of Stromsburg Dwight Burney Glen Hill Arlo Stevens Ralph Peterson of Columbus Don Ostberg Donnette and Murray. The event featured social time and a carry-in lunch.

Corn Field Harvest Yields 144 Bu Acre In Fertilizer Test

Leland Bills completed harvesting a 22 acre corn field as part of a fertilizer test plot yielding 144 bushels per acre after a lengthy process with multiple repair sessions. Social notes record visits by Emily Collins and Richard of Omaha, Jim Wilson, the Kerker and Garling families, the Petersons and the Joneses, and other local guests. A northwest cold front meeting a warm southern front over Polk produced thunder lightning and a half inch rain Monday night.
