Supervisor Outlines Census Work in Sixth Nebraska District

J G Alden, supervisor of the census for the Sixth Nebraska district covering Boone Nance Platte Merrick Polk Butler Saunders Hamilton York and Seward counties, announces April 1 1930 as census start. The operation will take about fifteen days with a headquarters staff of a supervisor an assistant supervisor a clerk stenographer and additional clerical help. Offices will open in York weeks before enumeration begins.

Double Wedding Ties Two Nelson Daughters in Stromsburg

A Wednesday double ceremony united Miss Norah Nelson to Abnert Myrberg and Miss Grace Nelson to Glenn R. Lindberg at the First Baptist parsonage with Rev. Linus Johnson officiating. Emma Jones Rites Held For Glenstead Native

Emma Jones was born on a farm near Glenstead Missouri on October 25 1855 and died October 8 1929 at age 73 years 11 months and 14 days. She married Joseph Cummings on March 30 1820 and they had four children two sons Fred Lincoln and Bert Polk one daughter Mrs John Moore College View two brothers Tom Jones and John Will Jones Glenetead three sisters Aphie Medford Lizzie Dinnwiddie Kansas City and Mrs John Allison Syracuse. Interment was in Polk cemetery she was a member of the Christian church and leaves grandchildren and many relatives.
