The Omaha chamber of commerce urges Nebraska residents to help locate Elmer Cockle of Venango who vanished September 28 after a grain claim. He is believed to have traveled to Omaha. Relatives say he was despondent due to poor health.

Polk Goes Over The Top In Lincoln Tel & Tel Campaign

The Silver Anniversary drive in the York district ran Sept 80 to Oct 5 at the local office. 28 exchanges carried quotas. Polk set 193 points and the team achieved 882 points total, about 200 percent. Polk placed 5th as several new farm phones and monophones were ordered by Hil's Produce, Citizen's State Bank, Farmer's Elevator, Strand Lumber Co, Watners Store, and Mrs G Xt Peteran.
