Infant Rodney Dean Donelson died shortly after birth at Central City on May 11. Funeral services were held May 14 in the Lat Chapel with Rev. Walter Marshall officiating. Burial followed in Central City Cemetery. He is survived by paternal grandparents Ralph Donelson Central City and maternal grandparents Harvey Lind Polk, plus aunts and uncles.

Class Night And Honors Convocation Awards Recited
Honors Convocation on May 15 featured multiple awards. Joyce Stewart won the outstanding music award and the I Dare You leadership prize. Linda Johnson and Cheryl Stohl received top senior and homemaker awards respectively. Regy Green earned best all around senior boy and leadership honors. Alvin Eisler gained Danforth Foundation leadership recognition. Salutatorian medals went to Myrna Merchant and Regy Green. valedictorian medals honored Jean Larkin and Joan Larkin.
