Memorial Gift Dedicated at Methodist Church

A memorial gift funded by Arnold Isaacson Gilbert Benson and Ronald Isaacson is dedicated at Sunday service by Everett Green. The 16 mm sound projector was purchased by the Memorial Committee Oscar Sundberg Mrs C J McCoy and Mrs Lloyd Hahn for church and community use. Jack Cramer sang The Old Rugged Cross and relatives attended from Grass Valley California. Merle Stromberg chairs operator committee with Frank Davis as vice chair and Paul Strand as member, many friends present.

Everett Green Elected Leader of Polk Young Adult Group

Everett Green of Polk was named president of the Central Young Adult Group of Methodist churches in Polk Hamilton and Merrick counties at Osceola. Car roll Johnson of Central City was chosen vice president and Mrs David Rutter of Osceola secretary treasurer. Green will join a panel discussion at the Methodist Young Adult conference in McCook on June 1. Attendees from Polk included Rev. Paul Walker and several couples.

Maybaskets Hung to Sick Aged and Shut-Ins

Over forty Maybaskets were hung to the sick ag ed and shut ins of the Polk community by children of the Sunday School department of the Methodist church. After visits to homes they returned to the church basement for games and lunch served by junior department teachers.
