John E Dougherty of York, a new attorney, argued for Very Miller in a district court trial over a wrongful jail sentence. Judge Landis presided with County Attorney Riddell and Spurlock for the state. The jury returned a swift verdict in Mr Miller's favor, finding him innocent of the charged crime.
