Mr and Mrs Arnold Neuhaus traveled to Humphrey on Sunday while Mrs Neuhaus attended a bridal shower for Cheryl Reichmuth. Arnold visited his brother George in the hospital in Schuyler. The Neuhauses were evening visitors at the Alvin Reichmuth home in Humphrey. Mr and Mrs Robert Stevens of Lincoln joined Mr and Mrs Alvin Dahlin for Friday dinner and supper.

Pancake supper boosts Polk Community Club funds

More than 200 people enjoyed pancakes and sausage at the Polk Community Club event Saturday raising money for the Community Hall remodel. Donations to the Hall Fund totaled 199 dollars, with individual gifts from multiple residents. Lowell Bills sustained a toe injury during cleanup. Volunteers plan ongoing fund drives and weekly donor notices, while a Community Improvement Program Council forms from local organizations to oversee the renovation drive.
