Bridal Shower Honors Miss Bonnie Shaw at Benedict Home

A bridal shower honoring Miss Bonnie Shaw was held Sunday afternoon March 13 at the J. F. Ehlers residence in Benedict. The gift table featured a blue umbrella with rain streamers as decor. Pam Shaw of Lincoln presented each gift and a lunch was served by Mrs. Ralph Brumbaugh of York and Mrs. J. F. Ehlers.

Friendship Birthday Club Meets at Lind Home

The Friendship Birthday Club gathered Tuesday afternoon at Emma Anderson and Lil lie Lind home. Members present included Winnie Whitacre Lillie Lind Lydia Peterson Mary Anderson Stella Whittemore Alice Jones Grace Harless and Alvena Lind with Berniece Miller as a guest. A carry in lunch was served.

Jehovah Witnesses to Meet in Lincoln Assembly

Final preparations are under way for a semi annual circuit assembly of Jehovah Witnesses in Lincoln from March 18 to 20. About 700 delegates will attend the three day meeting at Culler Junior High School located at 52nd and Vine Street. Mervin Oberg expects about 10 attendees from the local congregation.

Local visits mark a Monday and Sunday social

Mr. and Mrs. John Ray visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mogensen at Hampton Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Klingsporn of York were Sunday dinner guests in the Ewart Klingsporn home. Mrs. Raymond Sagehorn visited her parents, Mr and Mrs. Carl Wilshusen in York Monday afternoon.

Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid Meets and News

The Immanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Aid met on Wednesday March 2 led by Pastor Hu with the topic The Most Vital Matter. Members discussed and studied Bible verses and reports were given. Tray favors were prepared for Central City and Aurora hospitals. Hostesses were Mrs Joseph Hu and Mrs Gwynuel Johnson who served lunch.
