Summer Recreation Fund Seeks More Money
Coach Bill Lavelle reports 44 boys under 12 attended baseball practice Monday with several more possible. Older boys trained Tuesday and girls formed softball teams Wednesday as the Summer Recreation Fund struggles to raise about $600 for the season. Four Car Loads For Tornado Victims From Polk Community
The Polk community donated a mix of clothing bedding dishes and household items in response to the Disaster Call by the American Legion Auxiliary. Three cars and a station wagon filled to capacity were sent to the York Red Cross distribution center for Polk. Forty six dollars were given to the First National Bank Disaster Fund at York.
