Polk Methodist Church held a farewell reception for Rev. and Mrs. Harold Jensen on Thursday evening June 2. Oscar Sundberg led the program with a vocal solo by Karen Stevens and a trumpet duet by Sidney and Gail Widga. Capt Don D Nelson son of the Dean Nelsons is in Vietnam with the 10th Fighter Command Squadron flying an F-5 known as the Shoshi Tigers. Only 18 of these planes in Vietnam. he is married with a 3 year old daughter Kirsten. His wife and child will remain in Lincoln during his overseas service.

Nell Peterson chairs Polk County Democratic group

Mrs. Nell Peterson was elected chairman of the Polk County Democratic Central Committee at their post primary meeting. Jim Majors is vice chairman and Mrs Harvey McKeag secretary treasurer. Peterson represents District 34 on the State Central Committee and heads Rep Clair Callan's Consumers Report Committee for this area. Peterson and Majors were elected delegates to the State Democratic Convention in September.

Summer Band Concert Schedule and Rehearsal Update
