Plans are set for the annual Crops and Soils Field Day at the Nebraska college of agriculture on Wednesday June 15. Polk County farmers may attend. The morning program covers crop problems with Dr F D Kleim presiding and topics on harvesting grain sorghums weed and grass identification and winter oats and hybrid corn. The afternoon visit the agronomy farm east of Lincoln to view grass breeding work with about 20 acres devoted to the study.

Albent Dewitt Dover born November 22 1853 in Illinois City Illinois moved with his family to Dallas County Iowa as a youth. He married Lilly Annie Stephens June 11 1884 and had three children Arnon De witt Albert Ray Hazel Dover. He lived near Polk Nebraska since 1887 and was a Mason and Methodist lay leader. Funeral was in Polk Methodist Church with Rev Pengelly. burial in Polk Cemetery.
