Heavy Rain Hits Polk County With Severe Storms
Polk County saw a heavy Monday night rain and a bright electrical storm. Stromburg reports nearly four inches while Shelby 5 records over three and a half inches and Osceola about two inches. Polk reports a little over an inch. The downpour arrived too late to save corn but benefits late crop, several telephone lines disrupted, and a Raymond bridge washout delayed an evening passenger train by over four hours.
