Don Hanquist receives appointment as Polk postmaster effective July 17 announced by Regional Postmaster General Clarence B. Gels. He has served as Officer in Charge since March 12, 1971 and joined the postal service September 26, 1955 as a substitute mail carrier. He became a career substitute clerk on February 6, 1971 and is a U S army veteran active in his church as a Deacon.
