Polk Nebraska approves annual appropriation and tax levy

Ordinance 88 sets property taxes for Polk for the year ending May 11, 1938. It imposes mill rates for street, general, library, intersection sinking fund, interest on bonds, fire protection, park and amusement, and water bond fund, with specified assessed valuations and allocations to street, general, library, sinking fund, interest, fire, park, and water accounts. The ordinance was passed July 6, 1937, by Chairman A Isaacson and Village Clerk R J Allison.

Dr and Mrs Harry Johnson of Central City spent Sunday with the Walters household. Mrs C A Reed and son Donald of Dysart Iowa left after a brief stay with Rev R M Bailey. Reed will take over the Dysart Reporter August first. She is Rev Bailey’s sister. Calmar Jones of Lincoln is visiting relatives for a few days. Neva Bright and her sons visited Osceola with Arthur Scholz Thursday.
