Mr and Mrs Walter Nielsen announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Kay to Darwin Neuhaus son of Mr and Mrs Arnold Neuhaus of Polk. The bride to be is a University of Nebraska senior due to graduate in December. He recently returned from military service and will enroll at Milford Nebraska Vocational School this winter. The wedding is planned for August 14 at the United Methodist Church of Polk.

Funeral services for Wayne Pop Hill 98 Polk’s oldest citizen are set for 2 00 pm Wednesday at United Methodist Church. He died Monday July 5 in York hospital and is buried in Polk Cemetery. Hill known as Pa Hill operated Hill's Dream Station and was an avid pitcher, later farming and cream station work. He was born October 29 1872 near York Nebraska one of 15 children. Survived by son Glenn and daughter in law Hazel two granddaughters four grandchildren two brothers and two sisters.
