Chorus To Present Easter Concert Again

Mr and Mrs Charles Cramer of Kearney announce the birth of Timothy Lee on January 23 at Kearney Hospital weighing 8 pounds 14 ounces. The family resides at 2907 Central Ave. Mr and Mrs Ken Fawkell of Denver announce a son Troy Joe born January 19. Mrs Fawkell is Montha Cramer, daughter of Mrs Everett Cramer and the late Mr Cramer, former Polk area residents.

Cubs Suffer Heavy Loss to Osceola in Tournament Final

Osceola Bulldogs overwhelmed the Polk High Cubs 41 points by star Alan Gissler as Osceola claimed the Goldenrod Conference final 71 to 30. Polk had weak rebounding and 30 percent shooting, while Clarks defeated St Edward for third place 73-53. Carlstrom 21 and Sealey 23 led Polk in the opener versus Palmer, with Polk later beating Clarks 88-56 in the semifinal.

Everett Cramer 1921 1945 Dies Leads to Marina Return

Funeral services were held Friday at Metz Mortuary in York for Everett Cramer 45 former Polk resident. He died January 16 at Republican City where he had lived since 1954 except for illness and recovery in Lincoln. He and wife moved back to Republican City last year to run a marina at Harlan County Dam. He was WWII veteran and member of American Legion and Elks. Surviving wife Montica Rae, a daughter, five brothers and two sisters. Interment Arborville Cemetery.

Mrs Edith Carl Steelquist of Lincoln is recovering from a broken hip at Lincoln General Hospital after a fall. Mrs Elsie Stevens and Mrs Roger Gustafson are patients at Bryan Memorial in Lincoln. Mrs Grant Johnson is admitted to Annie Jeffrey Memorial in Osceola, and Lanny Ang had surgery there then was released Monday.
