Polk County 1951 proceedings set wages and depository rules

Polk County Nebraska officials at the Jan 9 1951 meeting organize for 1951 setting wage scales for clerk, assistant, custodian, and labor roles, appoint Everett Smith to the Service Committee, designate local papers for bidders notices, and approve depository bonds. The County Treasurer gains authority to deposit funds in banks up to 100 percent with proper bonds, and guidance for deposits outside the county is outlined.

The Polk County Nebraska Board of County Commissioners approves deposits securing county funds with bonds or approved securities. If 100 percent of paid up capital and surplus is reached, the County Treasurer may place funds in banks outside Polk County with bond or securities. Meeting adjourned to January 16 1951. approved by John I. Anderson Louis E. Daum chairman.
