Funeral Services For Ellen Larson 77 Thursday Today
Ellen Larson 77 died Monday night January 13 at York General Hospital after years of poor health. Born in Stark village she married Theo Larson on December 23 1908 and lived in Polk. She was active in the Baptist church Eastern Star and local affairs. Survivors include her husband sister Martha Larson brother LeRoy Nelson nephews Ed and Harry Larson niece Margaret Lampshire. Services set for Thursday at 2 00 p m at the Baptist Church with Rev Logan officiating. Interment Lindale cemetery. Body at Wall Funeral Home Polk.

Bus Hearing Draws Large Group To Stromsburg
The State Railway Commission held a Tuesday morning hearing in Stromsburg on a petition for bus service to Moordville Polk Stromsburg and Osceola. Harold Turner of Nebraska Motor Coach proposed extending service with a Central City to Omaha route via Highways 14 66 81 and 30A plus a David City connection. If approved service could start March 2 1964 with daily round trips Polk to Omaha and return with times listed for a sample trip.
