Farmers Co-op Grain Assn Meeting in Polk

The annual stockholders meeting of the Farmers Co-op Grain Assn in Polk will be at noon on Wednesday January 13 at the community hall. A dinner starts at noon followed by a business meeting at 1 p.m. Stockholders will elect a new director and patronage checks will be distributed after the meeting.

Arborville Church Holds 88th Annual Meeting and Elections

The Arborville Congregational Church held its 88th annual meeting after a Fellowship dinner. Rev. Lindley J. Cook served as Moderator with Mrs. John Wochner re-elected Clerk and Mrs. Raleigh Laura Merchant Treasurer. Two new Trustees, Dewn Bedient and Harry Kennel, joined Fred W. Bedient. The Hall project dominated the year with strong community labor and lunches provided by women. Other officers re-elected included Deacon Mrs. H Sterner, Deaconess Mrs. Charles Burgess, Organist Mrs. John Wochner, Assistant Organist Mrs. Hillis Sterner, Music Committee members, and Sunday School Superintendent Mrs. Laura Merchant.
