Miss Berniece Wilshusen and Leonard Feeken wed at Immanuel Lutheran Church on December 19 in a ceremony led by Rev. Warneke. Relatives and friends attended as Nor man Wilshusen and Everette Feeken lit the tapers. The reception followed at the bride’s home with a three tier cake and floral corsages. Also noted was a major snowstorm across Polk County the day before Christmas causing travel delays and road impacts.

Obituary: Oscar Thomas Morgan Buried in Osceola
Oscar Thomas Morgan born May 30 1868 in Marshes County Illinois died December 19 1945 in Osceola Nebraska at 77. He moved with family to Kansas then Nebraska at age 10 and married Myrtie Anna White in Tecumseh. Survived by wife Myrtie son Elmer Leroy two granddaughters and several relatives. Services were held at Kepner Funeral Home Osceola and burial followed in Osceola Cemetery.

Fremont man and daughter killed in crash near Shelby
Aaron Siebert aged 49 and his six year old daughter Shariene died when their car struck a slowed truck near the Highways 81 and 92 intersection two miles east of Shelby. Mrs Siebert was seriously injured and later moved to York hospital. Two other Siebert children survived with minor injuries. A second collision at the same spot involved Edward Dahrenhusten of Sioux Falls and Bernard Minarek of Omaha. Minarek suffered facial cuts and bruises. State Patrolman Don Moisterel investigated both crashes.
