Bruensbach Family Returns From Japan Missionary Term
Pastor Dan Bruensbach and his family spent the weekend in Polk visiting friends after a five year term as missionaries in Japan. Truck Crash Damages Fredrickson Building In Polk
A truck driven by Wendell Roscoe of St Paul crashed into the Fredrickson Implement Co building in Polk early Thursday. Roscoe, 19, was ticketed for careless driving. The impact shattered five large plate glass windows and damaged merchandise and ceiling tiles. two tractors on the south side narrowly escaped. The Debus Baking Co truck was also damaged.

WSCS societies from Swede Plain and Arborville joined Polk WSCS in Methodist church parlors on December 3. Led by Lydia Peterson Harold Jensen Floyd Miller and Forrest Anderson the program featured scripture on the birth of Christ a solo by James Lindburg with Ed Saylor at piano and a book review by Georgia Locke of The Drum Goes Dead by Aldrich Street. Prayer closed the program by Rev. Jensen. Hostesses Wilfred Stephens Marvin Fredrickson Earl Stevens Glen Babcock and Leonard Orendorff decorated tables in festive Christmas fashion.
