Faithful Workers Meet With Marie Carlson

The Faithful Workers Club met at Marie Carlson's home on Tuesday November 22 with Winifred Lackey presiding. The group approved a December 12 luncheon at Corner Cafe and a baby gifts shower for Anita Norquest and her newborn son. Hostesses Marie Carlson and Irene Widga served lunch to 15 members and 2 visitors, with Florence Hoffman as reporter.

Lincoln Guests Dine With Nybergs This Weekend

Mr and Mrs Kenneth Hult Strand and Lori of Lincoln were weekend guests of her parents Mr and Mrs Rudolph Nyberg. On Sunday the same group were all dinner guests of Mrs Mary Nyberg.

Lois Willis Wochner Bride Of James Wochner At Polk Immanuel Lutheran

Lois Willis of Polk and James Allen Wochner of Bradshaw were married Saturday November twelve at 7 30 p m in Immanuel Lutheran Church Polk in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev John Oppliger and Rev Ennc Schulke with 225 guests present. The bride wore Baroness satin with embroidered medallions and a cabbage rose train veil bouquet of white carnations red roses and white streamers. Attendants included maid of honor Cheryl Sagehorn and bridesmaids Bev Nelson Lynda Van Ostrand with pink cabbage rose headpieces. Ring bearer Gary Johnson and flower girl Angie Friesen aided the procession while Arlan Warneke played and candle lighters lit the chapel. The couple’s parents are Hilda and Ralph Willis Hastings Bradshaw and Harvey and the late Mrs Helen Wochner.

Evangelical Free WMS Holds November Meeting

The WMS of the Evangelical Free Church met November 30 in the church basement. Leaders were Mrs. Lee Harless and Mrs. Oscar Anderson. Emma Johnson read, Rolland Bodine sang, and Pastor Koelling spoke. A holiday grocery shower for Pastor and Mrs. Koelling followed. Hostesses were Mrs. Merlin Nyberg, Mrs. Rudolph Nyberg, and Mrs. Elmer Warnick.

Ekstrand to Lead County Heart Fund Drive

G E Ekstrand of Stromsburg named Heart Fund chairman for 1967 with La Verna Rystrom as treasurer and Carleton Anderson as publicity chief. The Stromsburg leaders joined volunteers from fourteen counties for a pre campaign rally at the York Country Club on December 1, including a dinner sponsored by Dean Sack of York State Bank.
