School Notes Spark First Night of 1929 30 at High School

The first choal night of the 1929 30 school year will be held at the High School assembly on Friday December 6. There is no prepram and the first part will be by the Music Department. Polk High Football closed the season on Thanksgiving with a win in the clash against Clarks. The team posted an 8 50 percent success rate, not defeated on their home field. Two boys entered cage work and prospects for a strong basketball season look good with sixteen boys reporting and five earning letters.

Henry S Westbrook former vice president of the defunct Dunbar State bank is held on a $2000 bond for allegedly accepting deposits while knowing the bank was insolvent in 1927 a December 5 hearing set Heinke says Westbrook deposited a 1400 check March 24 1927 to Henry Kasbohm before the bank closed Westbrook long connected with the bank and has been living near Dunbar since its closing.
