Obituary Walter Meerkatz of York Dies at 74
Walter Meerkatz of York died Wednesday at York General Hospital at age 74. Born January 2, 1902 in York County, he grew up in Polk, lived in western Nebraska before moving to York. He was a groundskeeper at York Country Club and married Christina Kleinholz on April 26, 1959. Survived by his wife and two sisters, he was a charter Faith Lutheran Church member and LLL participant. Funeral held at Faith Lutheran with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
