Funeral service for Mrs William Steel in Hordville

Immanuel School Opens With Twenty Six Pupils
Immanuel Lutheran School opened on Monday August 28 with 26 pupils enrolled. Mrs Harry Kennel of Bradshaw was hired as a part time teacher for grades K 3 in reading English spelling art and handwriting. Improvements include new library shelves and 130 books funded partly by Federal Aid to Education Title II and by the library memorial fund.

She married Philip Johnson in 1929 and was survived by husband daughter Lois sister Lennis Lind brother Merle LaVelle and other relatives.
