Local residents reported visits to Ovslatta Polls and Central City for reunions and family meals. The Anderson home hosted Edick Anderson’s 20th birthday with music, toasts, a buggy gift, and a late supper.
The State Fair management secured the Wright brothers for daily aerial navigation exhibitions from September 5 to 9. The air ship problem excites national interest and many will attend the Wrights fight demonstrations at the fair.
Osceola guests Fleming and sister from Valley arrive for a week long visit with their parents. Jos Elmer of Monticelli Iowa stays a couple days. Miss Ethel Westberg, a regular at Central City Soldier's Reunion, appears for the third year, amid Osceola effort to entertain in the affair.
Sunday school at 10 a m with preaching at 11 a m. Evening service at 8 p m followed by a young peoples meeting at 7 p m. Prayer meeting Thursday evening led by Pastor Frank Abrahamson.
The M. E. Church conducts Sabbath school at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday with preaching at 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. A weekly Wednesday prayer meeting is held, and Epworth League Devotional services start at 7:00 p.m. J. W. Waits is the Pastor.
