City and School Election Set for Tuesday Voting
Polk and school district 72 voters will cast two votes each for Village Board of Trustees and School Board at the Hotel Building polls from 8 am to 3 pm next Tuesday. Incumbents up for reelection and four nominees for the school board appear. Grayce Hahn is the only non-nominee on the school ballot.

Polk High School edged Stromsburg and Osceola by half a point 57 to 37 in a three way meet at Osceola. Cramer stood out with multiple top finishes including 3rd in 440 yd dash and 4th in 220 yd dash, Nyberg led field events winning the shot put and discus, with Cramer and Bowers also scoring in high jump and pole vault.
