The Country Women's Club met at Mrs. Raymond Sundberg's home for an Easter bonnet parade with each member crafting and wearing hats. Mrs. Paul Coover won the prize, laughter abounded, and program chairs were Mrs. Rolland Stromberg and Mrs. Dean Ostberg. Local Scout Troop 168 Receives Charter in Community Hall
The Boy Scout Troop 168 received its charter from the National Council of Boy Scouts of America during a program at the Community Hall on Monday evening. A. E. Bodine helped with the presentation while Everett Green introduced members and program numbers. Ralph Kahler Jr. awarded badges to scouts who passed tenderfoot tests. Gerald Stevens was ill. Gary Green demonstrated knot tying and Mr. Reist led a grade school band that performed for the 100+ attendees. Henry Eisler of the American Legion accepted the charter as sponsoring organization, and light refreshments followed.
