Sunday was Y M C A Day in Laurens with County Secretary Glasener State Secretary Hansen and W H Watts from Pocahontas as speakers. Watts led the morning pulpit at the Christian Church and the afternoon men’s meeting, Hansen spoke at the M E church during the evening service. A temporary committee Swanson Norton Wood Claussen Brown and Clanton was formed to aid the local Y M C A program. Plans include a vigorous men’s program and possibly a Des Moines Gospel Team as part of the association efforts.

The Woman's Club gathered with Mrs. Shaner on February 26. The calendar program proceeded as planned. Mrs. Norton presented a paper on how our Young People should Spend Sunday, followed by Mrs. Shoemaker's discussion on why our Daughters Should be Educated in Home Making. A paper titled Our Boys was read by Mrs. McNee, and members enjoyed a club letter from Mrs. E D Anderson detailing Idaho experiences.

Wedding at Gust Hackerson Home Unites Olga Hackerson to Alben Peterson
A pretty home wedding occurred at the Gust Hackerson residence west of town on Wednesday afternoon at four o clock. Miss Olga Hackerson wed Alben Peterson in a ceremony performed by Rev. Hansen of Pomeroy. Agda Hansen served as bridesmaid and Albert Hackerson was best man. A wedding supper followed for about 100 guests.
