Mrs G W Oleson Dies After Illness at 29
Mrs G W Oleson died at her Laurens home August 9 1915 aged 29 years 7 months 26 days after a several day illness leaving six children Cecil Vira Irene Ardis Loren and an infant with husband Geo W Oleson and her Martin and Oleson families. Loretta E Martin born December 13 1885 near Shannon Illinois moved to the area in 1896 married in 1902 and is survived by parents two brothers and many relatives and friends. Still later Next Tuesday no fat will be allowed more than three strikes at any one time at bat.

Put On Farm Electrical Exhibit At State Fair
Increased interest in farm electricity leads Iowa State College to construct an elaborate fall exhibit at the state fair. A 1 inch to 1 foot scale miniature farmstead will display a model house and farm buildings equipped with electrical appliances illustrating lighting and power use. The funeral of Mrs. Oleson was held yesterday at the Methodist Church led by Dr J J Bushnell of Sheldon and many mourners attended. Burial followed in Laurens cemetery.

Farm electric power exhibits on display at fair
An exhibit features farm machines operable by a movable electric motor on a truck. Another display shows a complete four independent farm electric plant with gasoline engine, generator and storage batteries. Cost figures will be given to interested visitors.

County Recorder P B Thompson and family of Pocahontas passed through town for lake trips after a tire trouble south of town. Mrs P O Lindstrom from Marathon rented a new house and plans to move back.
