Truma Lee Linebaugh was named Queen of Utah Strawberry Days at a ceremony in the First Ward chapel. She was crowned by Chamber of Commerce President K Adams as City Councilman Eldon Johnson acting for Mayor Ed Roberts placed the official title Miss Pleasant Grove on Shuree Smith. Fifty Colorful Floats To Enter 1955 Parade
The annual parade plan calls for fifty floats eight bands and many organizations in a 10:00 a.m. Thursday procession led by Ray Mills and the Strawberry Days committee chair Vernon J Ahman. Schools from Pleasant Grove Springville Lincoln American Fork Lehi Mt Pleasant and possibly Olympus will send entries along with the 23rd Army Band Fort Douglas and Magna Drum and Bugle Corps. The route runs from the High School north on First East to Center Street to Main South on Main to LeRoy Ash Service Station and back to the High School.
