Death of John Lloyd Prominent Nehawka Resident
John Lloyd, a leading Nehawka resident, died last night at an Omaha hospital after a paralytic stroke. He had been steadily failing after the illness, and his daughter Mrs. W. G. Kieck of this city was at his side. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the VU B church in Nehawka.

Ann Ervin Pioneer of Union Dies at 75
Ann Everett Ervin 75 a longtime Union resident and Utah native died Friday at her Union home after a two week illness caused by complications. Born January 3 1858 in Lehi Utah she moved to Cass County with her parents and married James Ervin in 1878. Surviving are eight children and several siblings with funeral Sunday at 2 pm officiated by Elder F H Higgins burial at East Union Cemetery.

Truck Driver Robbed of 400 Payroll Near Chicago Avenue
Watson Brothers driver E E Lacey reported he was robbed of 400 dollars payroll en route from Omaha to Nebraska City. He said the money was in the truck while he stopped at Chriswisser lunch room on Chicago avenue. Police found no trace of the robber and Lacey continued to Nebraska City after filing with the company. This marked his second holdup in a short period on highway 75.
