New Methodist Pastor Welcomed by Plattsmouth Tonight

Tuesday’s Daily reports a large crowd at the Methodist church welcoming Rev. F. M. Drulinger and wife. The event featured musicians and readings by local talent, with bishops and pastors from nearby churches offering greetings. Ladies Host Wintersteen In Plattsmouth Reminiscence

On Saturday afternoon Miss Gass and Miss Arnold entertained old-time friends in honor of Mrs FE M Wintersteen of Kansas City. The gathering featured reminiscences of early Plattsmouth history followed by a piano sing along led by Mrs Wintersteen with Home Sweet Home as the closing number.

State rifle camp to be held near city in October

The Nebraska National Guard unit plans a state rifle camp from October 6 to 14 at the government rifle range north of the city. Distinguished marksman honors will be awarded to officers or enlisted men who have twice won state rifle or revolver events. Stephen Cecil laid to final rest at Oak Hill Cemetery

The funeral for Stephen Cecil drew a large crowd at his home and Oak Hill cemetery. Rev. W. L. Austin led services, with the A. O. U. W. lodge No. 8 in attendance and Master Workman Herbert Davidson conducting the grave ritual. A choir performed favorite hymns while bearers from the lodge carried the casket to its final resting place, amid abundant floral tributes.
