The 1939 Plattsmouth High senior class presented the first of two performances of The Seven Keys to Baldpate. The comedy drama by George M. Cohan features Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Quimby and a web of mystery, romance, and wit. A double cast will perform tonight with new roles and strong support from Milo Price and the student crew.

Loup River district to appeal most land awards in Cass County
The Loup River Public Power District will appeal all but two of the appraisers' awards totaling 19 332 15 for Cass County land condemned for a transmission line right of way. The remaining awards are 50 50 to Kahler Pottery Co and 10 to Helen LaTour, both in Louisville.

Auto Accident Claims Life of Auto Driver
A car crash near Bellevue leaves D. W. Crum 39 of Seward dead from a head wound. M. W. McKnight of Hickman is injured but not critical. Music Director Oversees Busy County Schedule
Peter Gradeville heads the Cass County recreation center music department with a packed week. He trains city clarinet and alto students Monday mornings, directs Plattsmouth bands Monday night, teaches Murdock and Alvo groups Tuesday, directs Elmwood bands Tuesday evening, and conducts radio orchestra work Wednesday. Concerts are planned in Elmwood Weeping Water and Murdock, with Friday sessions and Saturday group practices. He also leads Plattsmouth high school band Friday morning and continues Sunday orchestra drill when possible.

The Cass County Extension Club chorus presented at First Methodist Church under the Plattsmouth Woman's Club music committee. Directed by Mrs. J. R. Reeder the group of about 35 women performed standard works and solos with notable contributions from Mrs. R. C. Shellenbarger and Mrs. Henry Ruhga. A piano quartet impressed the audience and bouquets honored the director and accompanist. Refreshments followed in the church parlors.
