John Svoboda, first sacker of the Murray Red Sox and bank clerk, is recovering from injuries after a Friday collision with Homer Spangler that KOed him. Svoboda was cleared by Saturday evening and returned to work today. Spangler bears a nasty cut over the left eye and will be disfigured for several days.

Missouri Pacific Sued Over McQuin Death Damages
The Missouri Pacific railroad and engineer H F Kilmer are defendants in a district court suit filed by Thomas McQuin as administrator for Clifford McQuin seeking 35000 in damages. The death occurred March 21 1930 at a crossing on the railroad right of way south of Union when a switched freight car struck the vehicle carrying McQuin and two companions.

Death of Adam Wolff Old Time Resident Here
Adam Wolff a longtime Plattsmouth resident and Burlington railroad employee died this morning at University Hospital in Omaha. Seventy five, he had been in declining health since retiring two years ago and had lived in the west part of the state. He is survived by a son and several stepchildren. his two wives had preceded him in death.

Tornado Rips through Greeley County Farm Heavily
Mrs. Robert Kyles and her invalid mother narrowly survived the storm that struck eight miles northeast of Greeley. The Kyles ranch suffered heavy damage with over a dozen outbuildings destroyed and debris found more than a mile away. The storm toppled the windmill, flattened a car, and left the house standing as a near total loss despite partial insurance coverage.
