Cook spoke on Masonry and community service, while William A. Robertson presented the past master’s jewel. The event closed with the quartet performances and a warm tribute to Meisinger.

Carl Ebinger 44 a Plainview resident for 25 years died Thursday afternoon after illness from flu and a stroke. He was the eldest son of Fred W. and Mrs. Ebinger of Plainview. Surviving: widow Alice, sister Louise Mote of Denver, brother Dr. William Ebinger of Hanna Wyoming. Funeral Sunday at Plainview with cemetery interment.

Severe Injury After Farm Area Auto Crash Near La Platte
James Holoubek living on a farm west of La Platte sustained a severe head and facial injury when his car hit a rut and plunged into a snow bank. He bleeding heavily from a facial artery wound before driving home and was rushed to Dr. R P Westover for artery tying and wound closure. He is father to Leonard Holoubek, a local high school junior.

NYA Program in State Success During Past Year
The National Youth Administration spent about 675 585 during 1930 to aid 16 600 Nebraskans. It funded student wages to keep youths in school and supported work projects and job guidance. High school students earned up to 6 monthly, college up to 20, graduate up to 40. About 900 youths worked on projects. many performed public services and training. The NYA also aided placement through the State Employment Service in Omaha and promoted vocational guidance.

Weeping Water Man arraigned on three traffic charges
Warren Harmer of Weeping Water was arraigned by Judge C L Graves on three counts from County Attorney J A Capwell. He pleaded guilty to driving without a license and possessing unlawful plates, not guilty to driving while intoxicated. The judge found him guilty on all charges, ordering fines of five dollars and costs for the first two, and twenty dollars plus costs for the third, with custody pending payment.

Sack wins Cass County spelling crown in district contest
Clayton Sack, of district 45 tear Mynard, won first place in both oral and written spells at the Cass county contest in the district court room. Thirty eight children performed Father Time's Party in a one act operetta at the Columbian school yesterday afternoon. Over fifty parents and friends attended as Charles Painter portrayed Father Time and students represented the months from January to New Year with a large cast led by Alicebelle Gradeville and Verna Bailer. Miss Berniore Wieland directed the program featuring Grade 1 children and part of Grade 2.
