Farm Prices Seen Recovering After Latest Low Point

Agricultural economist Dr. G F Warren says farm prices are likely to rise from their recent lows. He notes declines in the price index for food products from 161 to 142 and broader drops in farm goods, while cattle shortages and rising grain prices hint at a rebound. Weather faults and market shifts pushed corn and wheat up in the Chicago market. Hog prices remain weak and could fall further amid cheap eggs and lower retail costs for farmers.
