At the Tabernacle last evening an eloquent service drew a large crowd with the Theynale quartet performing The Wayside Cross and Rev Smith and Prof Gilmore singing Jesus Will. The 60 to 75 strong choir rendered superbly and Prof Gilmore guided the choir to a glorious point while Rev Smith read from Isaiah chapter twelve. Short testimonials followed and the congregation offered reverent praise. Attendance grows nightly with promise of further profit and value to the community.

From Tuesday's Diary the office workers at Storekeeper E. C. Hill in Burlington gathered after work for a lunch picnic on the Missouri banks near the Burlington bridge. Gun Toters Sentenced To Months In County Jail
Judge Travis sentenced Albert Stevens to three months in jail plus costs for carrying a gun. William Brathan received the same three month term and costs after being detained near a Baylor safe robbery. Wimmer Johnson drew sixty days in jail with possible extension, for concealed weapons.

Peter Frampton colored man faced county court on drunkenness and threats of assault after causing trouble at Otto Garrell’s livery stable in Nehawka. He was jailed for thirty days after deputies tracked him from Nebawka to Union and back to town. He is brother to Hall Frampton of Nebraska City, once sentenced for murder of his stepdaughter in Otoe County.
