Early this morning the Platte River rose about three feet near the Burlington bridge north of the city as floodwaters from the west moved in. Lawrence Ramsey of Loveland Colorado died May 29 1921 at his home after a paralytic stroke. William Bunten born in Johnstone Scotland August 1532 died June 9 1921 after a brief illness at his home University Place Nebraska He came to America in 1850 with his mother homesteaded in North Palmyra precinct later moving to University Place in 1912 He married Jane Ronald in 1865 at Syracuse and outlived most children including Thos and Fiora He leaves two sons five daughters many grandchildren and a cousin Mrs Margaret Thomson Funeral services were held at his University Place home and later at Palmyra Presbyterian Church with interment at Rosewood cemetery.
