The Cook family gathered Sunday at the Vallery home near Murray for their annual reunion. Officers were elected with A H Weichel as president and Crest Cook as vice president. Plans were made for a fall barbecue led by Roy O Cole and T W Vallery and the next reunion set for June at Wabash Park. The day featured music and readings as relatives from nearby towns reunited and honored deceased members.

Death Comes to Mrs Eva Meisinger at Home Here
Mrs Eva Meisinger a longtime community resident died at her Oak street home after years of disability. Born July 24 1852 near Pekin Illinois she moved to Nebraska in 1891 with her husband John George Meisinger who died in 1922. Survived by three living children Frd W Meisinger of Murray John R Meisinger and Henry G Meisinger of near here plus twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren two sisters also survive.

Woman pilot forced to land plane on Lincoln County farm
Mrs. Angela L. Joseph of Denver piloted a plane en route to Madison with her daughter Grace and was forced to land in a plowed field on the C. L. Jean farm due to a clogged carburetor. The craft overturned and suffered damage but Joseph was uninjured. Another plane in the air landed nearby and then took off after confirming the other pilot's safety. Children Undergo Tonsillectomy In Omaha Hospital
