High school builds largest motor boat project
At Manual Training High School William Coates 19 and his brother Meredith 18 are building an 18 foot gasoline powered boat with a 48 horsepower engine in the school shop. Supervised by George Arrowsmith the project aims for a 20 mph pleasure craft seating six. Expected launch next Easter the craft cost about 600 to build versus 1500 on the market.

Miss Jessie Matthews daughter of Dr and Mrs Matthews of Plattsmouth married Hulon Loughman in the First Christian church Olympia in a ceremony attended by about fifty friends. The bride wore white taffeta with pearl trim. attendants wore pale blue. After the ceremony the couple went to Portland then returned to Olympia to reside. Paroled youths guilty in brass theft case
In county court Ben Rummerfield Edward Daugherty Clyde Brittain Delbert Allen and Henry Ketelsen all under 16 were found guilty of stealing a brass fire extinguisher and other brass items from the Chicago Burlington and Quincy railroad company. They were paroled to Sheriff Quinton with orders to avoid trespass and theft and to obey their parents. The judge noted older party influence and warned of future trouble if rules are broken.

Joe Malcolm, renowned miller for Nehawka mills, was in Plattsmouth last evening to oversee disposal of a large flour order to city merchants. A Cass County veteran, he began in milling over forty years ago with J. S. Tenbury of Weeping Water Falls and helped build a leading state mill.

Reunion of Pioneer Ladies Held at the Gering Home
Last evening a dinner party at the Gering home on North Sixth Street honored Mrs. Paul Gering and four pioneer residents Mesdames R. R. Livingston J. S. Tewksbury and Jacob Vallery.
