From Saturday's Daily the municipal carnival will designate military nights. Company C of the Fourth Nebraska will be guests of Sydney Landcraft of the Tom W. Allen shows. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings will feature soldier entertainment for off duty and guard duty members respectively.

The late John H. Coughlin of Chicago was laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery after arriving on No. 5. Widow Christine Soennichsen Coughlin, father H. M. Soennichsen, and brother Henry Soennichsen accompanied the funeral party. Rev. H. G. McClusky conducted a grave prayer as pallbearers included Philip Thierolf and J. S. Livingston among others. The Chicago services were led by Dr. Frank W. Gunsalus of Peoples' Church.

High School Earns Narrow Victory Over Company C 3 to 2
In a five inning exhibition the high school team edged Company C Burlington bridge soldiers 3 to 2. Joe McCarthy pitched for the school while Daly toed the mound for the army. Daly’s smoke kept the hitters guessing though a few errors cost the soldiers. Pavlik anchored the catching and fielding, with Holland and Janda providing the occasional power.
