Kenneth Haley 21 Killed Crossing Omaha Street
Kenneth Haley 21 and companion Hugh Laflin 26 died after being struck while crossing 16th street near Pratt in Omaha. Driver Esther Herrington 23 faces manslaughter charges. car occupants include Bennett Rife and Phillis Lowe. Haley died at Nicholas Senn hospital. Laflin died later from injuries.

Tragic Hit by Burlington Train Near LaPlatte
An unidentified man was struck and killed on the Burlington line near LaPlatte as eastbound No. 6 passed. The victim, seen too late by the crew, delayed the train to Papillion where Sarpy county officers held an inquest.

In Lincoln county court a petition for probate of Ella E. Adams widow died May 25 asks that Maxwell W. Adams be named executor. Will provides $2500 to Maxwell W. Adams son $300 to Thelma Pitman granddaughter and residue to children Maxwell Mabel Brown Lillian Nielsen and Jacob E. Adams all of whom are named residents of Nebraska. Mrs. Elizabeth Crites Ramsey 82 died Sunday at Methodist hospital Omaha after a month of treatment. Born February 10, 1855 in Wisconsin, she lived in Columbus area before marrying Basil Swearingen Ramsey in 1852. Surviving son William C. Ramsey Omaha attorney and three grandchildren. Also two nephews and three nieces. One daughter preceded her in death.

Funeral of Mrs Ramsey Held at Sattler
Funeral services for Mrs BD Ramsey were conducted at 11 o clock at Sattler funeral home by Dr H G McMinsky pastor of the First Presbyterian church where she had long been a member. A Masonic quartet sang Lead Kindly Light and Abide With Me. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery beside her husband and daughter. Leave Fork Outing Takes Sylvester Family to Black Hills
Sheriff Homer Sylvester and his wife depart with daughters Avis Billy Jean Margaret and Patty Ann for a vacation to the Black Hills and eastern Wyoming. They plan Rapid City South Dakota Sundance and Lusk where relatives reside. Deputy Cass Sylvester and his wife will stay at the sheriff home and Mr and Mrs Robert Richardson will care for prisoners.
