Gasoline Thieves Loot Tanks Near the M. P. Station
A car parked near the Missouri Pacific yards was found gone with several hundred gallons of gasoline stolen from Ore Oil Co and Continental Oil Co tanks. About 200 gallons Mobilgas and 158 gallons ethyl gas were taken, with two empty drums also missing from Sinclair. Police suspect a truck aided the theft as pumps and locks were broken and leaks occurred.

4-H Girls Room club holds first meeting at Giles home

Death of Hans Rathmann long time Plattsmouth resident
Hans Rathmann 81 a longtime Plattsmouth resident died after a brief illness. Born February 11 1852 in Breckendorf Schleswig Holstein he came to the United States with his wife Anna Margaret Kuhr in 1881. The couple settled in Plattsmouth in 1887 where he worked with Soennichsen grocery before retirement. He is survived by six children including Anna Thompson and Roy Stewart.

Memorial day visitors from Lincoln return home

Driver Falls Asleep Causes Wreck on Highway 75
Lew Busch of St. Joseph Missouri drove a truck loaded with druggists supplies from Missouri to Omaha and Council Bluffs when fatigue from a 24 hour shift caused him to fall asleep near the Iowa Nebraska Light and Power station. The truck crashed into the roadside bank, leaving Busch dazed but uninjured. The Eaton Transfer Co. truck suffered heavy front-end damage and was taken to his city for rest as the company sent staff to inspect the vehicle.

Death of Mrs Emily Morrison at Blair Nebraska
Mrs. Emily Morrison sixty four a Plattsmouth lifelong resident died Thursday night at Crowell Memorial Home Blair after a stroke. She was the last survivor of her immediate family and is survived by son George L Morrison of Chicago and a daughter in the south. Hear Murdock Case Sets Bond For Peace Hearing
In county court this morning a complaint against E M Shatto and John Kruger sought bond to keep the peace and a separate charge against Kruger alleged vile language to provoke an assault.
