Mrs. Phil Sauter Dies Today at Masonic Home
Mrs. Phillip Sauter, 78, longtime Plattsmouth resident, died at the Nebraska Masonic Home at 11 o'clock. Born February 10, 1858 in Pekin Illinois she married Phillip Sauter May 13 1885 and lived in O Neill Plattsmouth and Omaha before moving to the Home in 1926. She was a member of Liberty Chapter No 273 Omaha and charter member of Home Chapter No 189.

Dana Baird of Plattsmouth won one of 250 University of Nebraska regents scholarships, competing with about 1400 Nebraska seniors from 406 high schools. He will enter the College of Agriculture this fall. Anna Kaimmer of Holdrege led the state, entering the teachers college, while Richard Schlueter of Kenesaw ranked second, and Henry Buller of Lushton ranked third with plans for engineering and arts and sciences. The senior class at Nebraska in 1932 sent 35 scholarship winners to the state university, including Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi members, with strong averages and many leaders in campus life.

David Lancaster Dies After Brave Battle in Murray
David Lancaster 24 of Murray died at Methodist hospital Omaha after a week long struggle with a head illness. He underwent four operations and two blood transfusions without success. Born May 27 1912 in Murray he farmed locally and is survived by his parents three sisters and a brother with one sister Bertha preceding him in death. Funeral services set for Tuesday 2 pm at the Murray Christian church with burial in Murray cemetery.
