Funeral of Mrs Hawksworth Celebrated at Home
The funeral for the late Mrs. Catharine Hawksworth was held Sunday at 2 30 from her Fifth and Vine street home. Canon Potter of St. Luke's presided in an Episcopal service with the choir and "Abide With Me" as a special number. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery with Streight funeral home in charge and pallbearers chosen from longtime friends.

Man Breaks Leg After Forced Jump From Rock Island Train
George Himmelein of Hamilton Ohio was injured when he and eight others were ordered to jump from a moving Rock Island train at Murdock Nebraska. He suffered a broken right leg below the knee and is housed with Sheriff Homer Sylvester until hospital care can be arranged.
