She was brought before the insanity board and ordered sent to the asylum. She was sane only on religious matters and could not answer questions otherwise.

Funeral of Late Mrs Cornelius Bengen
The funeral for the late Mrs. Cornelius Bengen was held Sunday afternoon from her Mynard home and she was laid to rest beside her husband in Horning cemetery. Born in Germany November 23, 1838 she arrived in 1870, married Cornelius Bengen in Peoria Illinois, moved to Nebraska in 1878, eight children with three predeceased, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive along with a brother in Germany.

Sudden Death of Michael Martin At Parkins House
Michael Martin aged about seventy six died suddenly at the Perkins house in Parkins last evening after a brief illness. He served in the Civil War as a teamster and later worked as a mason. Funeral plans were arranged to move his remains to South Omaha and Valparaiso before interment in Agnew. He leaves a brother in South Omaha and many nephews and nieces.
