President Vincent Kelley led a business agenda on community welfare projects including a proposed auditorium and sewer system in Weeping Water, a $60 000 estimate, dues set at 3 dollars, and plans for a social drive and a pet-peeve column in the local paper. Runaway Boy Reunited With Care After Stranding
Sheriff Joe Mrasek aided a youth stranded at Rock Creek filling station in cold weather. The boy, alias Keith Brown from Mason City Nebraska, had fled with Wilton Gates who is ill in town. Brown had lived five years at Father Flanagan Home Omaha and will be returned there, seeking to rejoin the home if desired.

Funeral of Ruth Dean Held at Horton Funeral Home

Mrs Elmer Webb fractured both bones of her left forearm falling from a chair while dusting venetian blind slats at her North 5th street home. Minor bruises reported. Dr West reduced the fracture and set a cast. This is her third left forearm fracture, previously in childhood and in 1930 after tripping on a rug on waxed floors.
