Legion Post Erects New Officers At January Meeting
Hugh J. Kearns Post No. 56 American Legion elected a new commander Emil J. Hild who previously served in France with the machine gun company of the 255th Infantry. Edwin Fricke and Eugene Vroman were named vice commanders and Elmer A. Webb was appointed post adjutant for six months. Harvey J. Heneger was reelected keeper of the strong box. An executive committee was set and a resolution opposed the five percent transfer plan to the state organization. A trip to Lincoln will be made to present post views at a state adjutants meeting.

Plans call for a modern two story structure on the site of the burned building owned by Jess Warga. Insurance settlements must be finalized before work begins. Warga and Sattler, occupants, salvage what they can as stocks suffered heavy losses. Hoover seeks restraining order over crop on leased land
James M. Hoover filed with Clerk of the District Court James J. Robertson for a restraining order against Charles Richardson. A temporary order was issued and a hearing set for 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Hoover, owner of land near Louisville, leased seventy acres to Richardson with half of the corn and hay as rent. The petition alleges noncompliance and asks that Richardson be enjoined from disposing of any more crop until settlement. Attorney W A Robertson represents Hoover.

State Roads Discussed by County Board in Budget Talks
